This SPL design methodology brings more drumhead surface in contact with wood plies, producing a satisfying, rich resonant tone without losing attack. A matching, solid wood bass drum hoop not only makes these Unity Birch drums look good, but also helps center the sound, creating a contemporary bass drum tone. The Unity Birch is outfitted with Remo heads, top-grade, chrome plated, double-braced stands, chain drive pedal, cymbals and throne.
